New Baby New Life....

So what in the world happened to me, I seemingly fell off the event/wedding planning world....well I had a baby. Brody Russell Gibson was born on February 2, 2011.

As my brides and grooms from last summer and fall can tell you, I had a very rough pregnancy and then my bundle of joy made his appearance 5 weeks early. Therefore, I am taking an indefinite break from the party planning scene for a while. If anyone needs a referral to another event/wedding planner feel free to email me and I'll pass along some names.

Congratulations Andy & Grayson!!

On Friday, May 21 I had the privilege to be a part of Andy and Grayson's beautiful Royal Park Hotel wedding. The ceremony was held in the stunning conservatory followed by a cocktail hour and reception in the ballroom. It was a joy and a pleasure to get to know Andy, Grayson, their families and their bridal party. We had a blast spending time with them all and the day could not have been more perfect. Hollye Mackler of Hollye Mackler Designs did a phenomenal job on the décor and flowers. Below are a few of my amateur shots of the décor.

And then after the wedding Molly and I made a romantic oasis for the two of them in the Honeymoon Suite!!!

Congrats again to Andy and Grayson. What a beautiful start to your lives together.

Tabletop WOW...

Last week I attended the annual NACE Tabletop WOW event. Our very own, Lia Moore of Full Circle Eventi, my best friend and business partner, enter the table décor competition. The theme this year was movies and I assisted Lia in setting up her Shakespeare inspired table…"If Music Be the Food of Love, Film On." Below are pics of the table, which were provided by my favorite photographer Margaret Newton of Margaret Newton Photography.

ENJOY!!

Melissa & John's Save-the-Date!!!

I met Melissa and John at the Brides-to-Be show last October. They were so overwhelmed by their Shabby-Chic Barn inspired wedding that they were ready to postponed it for another year. However, maid-of-honor Gloria stepped in and contacted us to help get things going. Her persistence paid off and the now stress free couple has set the date for this August. They have given me the honor to post their Save-the-Date, which maid-of-honor Gloria created for them. The detail is amazing, as the date itself is made up of pictures of Melissa and John. Great job Gloria!!

Their wedding is going to be very unique. The ceremony will be taking place outside in the garden at the Octagon House, followed by a cocktail hour in the historic house before heading into the barn for the reception. I can't wait to share the photos of this beautiful wedding and write more on the design aspects...I don't want to give anything away now, so you'll just have to wait until August!!

Annie & Matt's Save-the-Date!!!

I’m so excited and honored to be incorporated in Annie and Matt’s upcoming wedding at the Inn at St. John’s Conference Center in Plymouth. At the Bride’s to Be Show last October, Annie and her mother met our team and we’ve been collaborating on their Celtic themed wedding ever since. From the moment you walk in their home, you are embraced with Irish and Celtic love and culture (one reason I fell in love immediately with their wedding theme, and them for that matter.)

Incorporating elements of their heritage was not difficult; in fact, this is a true family style wedding in that we will be incorporating many family owned items into the reception décor. The green Celtic Trinity Knot weaves its way into many wedding items, including their invitations. The special monogram, custom designed for the duo, prominently features the knot, accented by platinum and black. It’s going to be an absolutely stunning wedding!

Annie gave me the privilege of displaying the Save-the-Date magnets she created after their engagement session! She created two spectacular images that I didn't know which one to feature, so I'm posting both!!

Congrats Annie and Matt on your upcoming wedding, it will be a delight to be your assistant!
